WATCH: Kimi Raikkonen’s farewell message for Fernando Alonso
Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso have shared some brilliant battles on the race track. They have seen it all together and being the world champions that they are, they have a lot of respect for each other.
With Fernando Alonso announcing his retirement from F1(at least for the time being), it has been wonderful to see all drivers, ex-drivers, team engineers congratulating Alonso on a brilliant career.
Kimi Raikkonen, one of Alonso’s oldest foe and colleague too came up with a brilliant, light hearted message, wishing him luck in his motorsport passions(ones that he might pursue) next year.
He wished Fernando well for his holidays, hinting that the Spaniard could return to F1 sometime in the future.

Now, not only Kimi, in fact the F1 fraternity of the present and the past made a special video for Fernando, complimenting him on wonderful career, one where he won 2 titles and wished him well in all his future endeavours.

Kimi Raikkonen is himself starting a new chapter in his F1 career, returning back to his boyhood team Sauber and hoping to end his F1 career with a new challenge.
It will be interesting to see how Sauber and Kimi can work together and hopefully Sauber can give Kimi a car good enough to challenge for podium places.
