WATCH : MS Dhoni’s first six in international cricket
Thirteen years.
It has been thirteen years since Mahendra Singh Dhoni first represented India on the international scene.
The power hitting wicket-keeper batsman did not have a memorable outing, as he was run-out without troubling the scoreboard. But that did not stop the Ranchi man from creating a legacy that is unlikely ever to be matched.
The rise of Mahi from a small town boy with big aspirations into a global superstar looks straight out a Bollywood script ( It actually is! ).
After over a decade of serving the nation, Dhoni has earned the respect of the entire cricketing world as the World Cup winning skipper now receives huge ovations when ever he strides out to bat.
Now on his thirteenth anniversary, we look at Dhoni’s first six in international cricket!
Dhoni’s first tour was against Bangladesh, and after a very disappointing debut, the young wicket keeper wanted to make a big impression in the second ODI.
While he did not light the world on fire, his power hitting was on display as he towered a couple of sixes into the stands.
