With so much being written regarding the Neymar-Cavani spat, it was important for the world record signing to make a strong statement tonight, against one of the strongest oppositions in Europe. And he did so, in style.
Both teams looked strong on paper and probably matched each other man for man, but Bayern Munich would have been given the edge by most, as they had played together for a long time in Europe, and thus could neutralise the hefty price tagged PSG.
But Neymar immediately showed that PSG were not over awed by their opponents, as he picked up the ball in mid field and drove at the Bayern defence, beating 4 of them with ease and squaring up a lovely ball to Dani Alves, who then produced a brilliant finish to give the home side the lead.

PSG would now be hoping to build on that lead and hopefully avoid any further spats between their two forwards.
Bayern on the other hand would want to put their European experience to good use and make a comeback in the game, as a loss tonight could dent their hopes of maybe winning the Champions League title this season
