WATCH: Preity Zinta says “I am very happy Mumbai are knocked out of IPL”
The IPL league stage has come to an end and SRH, CSK, KKR and RR have made it to the playoffs.
The race to the top 4 was a heated one this time round with 5 teams vying for that final two spots during the final week of the tournament.
On the last day, there were 3 teams in contention for that last playoff spot, after KKR had qualified last on Saturday with a win against SRH.
In the afternoon game, MI needed to win against DD, and they would have for certain made it to the playoffs, thanks to their impressive NRR.
However, a spirited performance on part of the Delhi franchise meant that KXIP still had a chance of making it to the playoffs, provided they beat CSK by a margin of 53 runs.
KXIP though did not get off to the perfect start, as Rahul, Finch and Gayle were dismissed during the powerplay and they had to play catch up cricket ever since.
While the match proved to be a drab one in the end, one video that surfaced on social media last night has given fans a major highlight from the last league game of IPL 2018.
When the cameras turned to Preity Zinata in the stands, she is seen uttering the words, “I am very happy Mumbai are knocked out of IPL, very happy”.
