WATCH: Rohit Sharma scolds Navdeep Saini; asks him to use his brain during India vs South Africa 3rd T20I

Rohit Sharma scolds Navdeep Saini: The Indian vice-captain was unhappy with the fast bowler’s loose delivery against Temba Bavuma.

During the third T20I of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of India in Bengaluru, India vice-captain Rohit Sharma was seen scolding fast bowler Navdeep Saini after he conceded a boundary off South Africa batsman Temba Bavuma.

It all happened on the penultimate delivery of the 12th over when Saini’s attempt to bowl a yorker saw him bowling a full-toss on the pads off Bavuma. With the batsman easily clipping the ball away for a boundary towards the mid-wicket region, he collected consecutive boundaries off Saini.

With no deep mid-wicket in place for Saini, Sharma didn’t appreciate the bowler’s idea of bowling at such a line. Just as Bavuma hit the shot, Sharma was seen signaling Saini to use his brain.

With South Africa needing 49 runs off nine overs before the start of this over, they already stood firm to chase a 135-run total. An unbeaten 64-run partnership for the second wicket between captain Quinton de Kock (79) and Bavuma (27) saw the visitors sealing the chase in the 17th over.

The South African victory saw the three-match ending in a 1-1 draw. Having scored 131 runs in two matches at an average of 131 and a strike rate of 147.19, de Kock ended the series as its highest run-scorer and was subsequently awarded with the ‘Man of the Series’ award.
