That privilege has moved from vastly-admired players like Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Of late, Virat Kohli has also started to enter this eminent list where crowd are seen chanting ‘Kohli Kohli’ whenever he gets going, which he mostly does.

In who has become a fresh entrant in this list is India’s vice-captain and opening batsman in the limited-overs format Rohit Sharma. The 31-year old right-hand batsman has become a different player altogether since he has started to open the innings for India.

Having scored a match-winning 21st ODI century in fourth ODI of the ongoing Windies’ tour of India at Mumbai, Sharma proved as to why he is one of the best opening batsmen in the world.

During the Windies’ innings, when Sharma was fielding at the boundary, a section of crowd was seen cheering for Sharma. Just when chants of ‘Rohit Rohit’ were doing the rounds at the CCI, Sharma turned back and signaled his fans to chant ‘India India’ than his name.

Listening to what the ‘Hitman’ had said, fans started chanting the name of the country. In a viral video on social media, Rohit is seen signaling this to his fans.
