Liverpool were stupendous in what they did today. The Reds enjoyed their third win in the Premier League since the turn of the new year to produce an extraordinary performance which saw them come away as 5-0 victors over the in-form Watford side at Anfield.
The inclusion of Trent Alexander-Arnold was a welcomed one for Jurgen Klopp as the young full-back produced three assists in the game. His exceptional cross which split two center-backs to find the Senegalese International Sadio Mane to head the ball from close range.
When Mohamed Salah thought that the chance was gone, Trent Alexander Arnold produced yet another mouthwatering cross to find Sadio Mane again. The Liverpool forward had a bad first touch but produced an extraordinary goal with a backheel by beating Ben Foster who did not see this coming.
Divock Origi scored a very good solo goal before Liverpool’s record signing Virgil Van Dijk scored twice via headers to score five for the first time this season. The pressure was full on Liverpool, but they were able to deliver by gaining four goals over Manchester City who edged West Ham 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
With this victory, Liverpool maintain a one-point gap over Pep Guardiola’s side at the top, whereas Watford drop down to 8th spot after leaking five goals. Jurgen Klopp will be an ecstatic man, whereas, Javi Gracia will not be happy with Watford’s defensive show today as they failed collectively.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, aside from setting Mane’s goal up with a pinpoint cross, has started like an express train. It was plain to see at Old Trafford but it’s even more apparent how much he was missed.

WHAT A GOAL! Salah makes a 30 yard sprint and after it is intercepted it falls to Mane who backheels it in from 12 yards out. Incredible finish. This is a completely different performance in the space of a few days. Energy, passion and one touch football. 2-0

It was Trent Alexander-Arnold with the ball in again for Sadio Mane’s second – him and Mohamed Salah have been electric on the right. The Senegal forward’s first touch was poor, leaving him with his back to goal but – no problem – he just backheels it in. #LFC fast and fluid.

After this rampant performance, Liverpool will be aiming to replicate the same at Goodison Park against Everton on Sunday as Jurgen Klopp aims to break the title hoodoo at Anfield.
