WATCH : Teaser trailer released for the Borg/McEnroe movie
Yes! It has finally come out. The much awaited Borg/McEnroe movie has just released its first trailer. Fans can barely contain their excitement, as we will get to see this incredible rivalry unfold on celluloid.
This film is about the rivalry between Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe and it will be directed by Danish film maker, Janus Metz Pederson. A major crux of the film will be dedicated to the 1980 Wimbledon final.

Widely considered as one of the greatest tennis matches of all time, the 1980 final came at the peak of this amazing rivalry. Up until the Federer-Nadal final, this was unquestionably the best Wimbledon final in history.
Shia LaBeouf will portray the role of John McEnroe, while Sverrir Gudnason will play Bjorn Borg in the movie.

´McEnroe and I have everything in common. We are passionate, perfectionist. We are very similar´
´When you produce a film you find similar things to perform and you have many here… I did not meet McEnroe but I am sure I will do it before producing it. Now I feel much love and respect for him.´

From the teaser, we can already see that this will be a very intense and personal film, which will reveal the truth behind these two legends. As fans, we will get an up close and personal look in to these two players, in a similar vein to the Hunt-Lauda biopic, Rush.
