Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo had formed a very likeable partnership at Red Bull, and while things sometimes got a little heated on track(especially during Baku this year), the duo share a brilliant relationship with each other.

Also, with Ricciardo being one of the more fun guys on track, he does cool things down even if they get blown out of proportions a little.

Together, they have been doing a good job for Red Bull, but with Ricciardo moving onto Renault, the partnership that could have offered so much more has been cut short.

Ricciardo’s announcement post the summer break of moving to Renault came as a shock to a lot of F1 fans, as it was clearly a step back for the Australian at this stage of his career.

The Australian did get receive some criticism for this decision, as he would have been better off at Red Bull, but for Ricciardo, a change of scenery was necessary.

Now, for Red Bull it was very difficult to understand the reason behind Ricciardo’s decision, but from an outsiders perspective, it seems as if Ricciardo had a a fair idea about how Red Bull were eyeing the future, with Max being at the forefront of it and not Daniel.

In the final ‘Grill the Grid’ episode, the two Red Bull boys answered a few questions, with Max mocking Ricciardo for his move to Renault right at the end of the video.

The last question was about the duo missing each other after this season, with Verstappen saying that he would miss Daniel.

Daniel on the other hand, in a playful mood kept his placard”s edge towards the camera, not really signalling if he was going to miss Max or not.

And right after, Max said that he will not necessarily miss Daniel, as he wasn’t going to go away completely, but was instead just going to go further back.
