Lewis Hamilton clinched his 5th world title in Mexico, ensuring that his car got over the line by securing a 5th place finish.

Hamilton was always the favourite to clinch the title here in Mexico, as Vettel needed to win the race in this Red Bull dominated circuit and Hamilton had to finish 7th or lower in order for the title race to go to Brazil.

Hamilton was obviously ecstatic at having secured the win, celebrating with his team, but it was his celebration with Vettel that really caught the attention of everyone involved.

Vettel took it upon himself to go speak to Hamilton about the win and congratulate him. David Coulthard had gone upto Vettel in order to speak to him about the race and how he felt about the 2nd place finish,

While Vettel did murmur a little something to Coulthard, he immediately took off, telling David that he needed to congratulate Hamilton first.

Vettel then went close to Hamilton hugged up, patted him onto his back and gave him a very long congratulatory message, a gesture that Lewis, the fans in Mexico and the entire F1 fraternity appreciated.

While Vettel and Hamilton have had their tussles this year, Lewis has clearly been the better driver, making fewer mistakes and dishing out amazing performances.

It was brilliant from Vettel to acknowledge that and he did that while he was being asked about when and where did the title challenge tilt so heavily in favour of Lewis Hamilton.

From the entire team at The SportsRush, we too wish Hamilton on his brilliant and record breaking 5th world title win.
