WATCH : Virat Kohli almost kills the umpire
Indian star man Virat Kohli can seemingly not do anything wrong these days.
The Indian skipper led his side to a 9-0 thrashing of Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. Granted, this is a Lankan team is desperately short of international experience.
With the loss of several key players over the last couple of years, Sri Lankan cricket needs a rapid upheavel if they want to return to being the cricketing power house that they were a few years back.

Last night’s T20 match was a case in point. In spite of putting up more than 170 runs on the board, the Lankan bowlers did not have the guile to put any sort of pressure on Kohli and the other batsmen.
Kohli came in and stroked a superb 82, as he became the fastest to 15,000 international runs. He now also has the highest number of runs during a T20 chase, which just shows how much of a special talent he really is.
There was an instance in the match when Kohli’s fierce shot almost took the umpire’s head off. Luckily he was able to get away, other wise some serious damage could have happened to the poor umpire.

Kohli smashed a Malinga delivery down the ground, which narrowly missed the umpire. When Kohli did eventually get dismissed, we can guess that the umpire heaved a bigger sigh of relief than the Sri Lankan players.
