WATCH: Virat Kohli practices ahead of the 1st Test in South Africa
Virat Kohli is finally back with the Indian side, after having completed all the formalities related to his wedding with Anushka Sharma.
The Indian skipper had opted for rest from the limited overs series against Sri Lanka, after having played non-stop cricket for the past 18 months.
Kohli and Anushka got married in Italy and then had two post wedding functions in India for their relatives and colleagues. Meanwhile, the Indian team knocked over the Sri Lankan challenge in both the T20’s and ODI’s under the able leadership of Rohit Sharma.
The Indian team has now landed in Cape Town, where they have been undergoing training sessions in order to get ready for the South African conditions.
In a video that the BCCI released today, Virat Kohli can be seen practicing some drives in the picturesque training ground at Cape Town. This is the first time Virat has been practicing in Indian colours after his wedding.
Check out the video:
BCCI cancelled the two day practice game as they wanted to have some camp like training sessions in South African conditions, rather than indulging in practice games.
The first test begins on the 5th of January at Cape Town.
