Virat Kohli’s banter with Rishabh Pant will win your hearts

It was the match between RCB and DD at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Both the teams had their backs against the wall in the tournament. While DD were already out of the tournament, RCB had to win their coming 4 matches, to even stand a chance of making it to the Playoffs.

DD did not start well with both their openers Prithvi Shaw and Jason Roy departing early. The mantle was then taken forward by two of the best batsmen of Delhi – Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant.

While Iyer was a little subdued to begin with, Rishabh Pant took off from where he had left to smash a quick 60 odd. However, still DD were not going at the greatest of run rates and were looking good for just about 160 or so. They needed a great flourish to take their total to 180.

17-year-old U-19 star Abhishek Sharma did just that with a quick 40 odd in 19 balls. The target was a stiff one to chase. After Moeen Ali and Parthiv Patel departed early, the chase masters Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers took it upon themselves to take RCB home.

The incident occurred when Kohli was taking strike against a DD spinner, and Rishabh Pant was trying to suggest him to bowl outside the off stump. Kohli picked on it and turned around to inquire Pant what he was up to.

Pant showed his gloves and suggested that he has signaling nothing. Both players then had a quick laugh and again went about doing their business.

As it turned out, Kohli went on to score 70, while AD took RCB home with an unbeaten 72.
