WATCH: Yusuf Pathan grabs breathtaking catch vs Goa in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20

Yusuf Pathan grabs breathtaking catch vs Goa: The veteran all-rounder was acrobatic on the field on the first day of the tournament.

During a Group A match of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20 between Baroda and Goa in Visakhapatnam, Baroda all-rounder Yusuf Pathan put on display an acrobatic fielding to dismiss Goa captain Darshan Misal at a crucial juncture in the match.

It all happened on the penultimate delivery of the penultimate over when Misal smashed a Rishi Arothe delivery through the covers only to find a 36-year old Pathan flying towards his right to grab an incredible one-handed catch.

Coming in to bat at No. 7 in the 15th over in a 150-run chase, Misal batted exceedingly well to score 27 (18) with the help of two fours and a six.

With Goa requiring seven runs off as many balls after Misal’s dismissal, there was a slight chance for Baroda to gain on the advantage but it wasn’t to be as batsman Suyash Prabhudessai’s maiden T20 half-century proved to be too good for Baroda.

Steering his team through to victory, Prabhudessai scored 60* (49) with the help of four fours and a couple of sixes.

After Baroda captain Kedar Devdhar won the toss and opted to bat, his team scored a mediocre 149/9 in 20 overs. Lack of support from the middle-order witnessed all-rounder Swapnil Singh playing a lone hand of 50 (44) with the help of two fours and sixes each. Coming in to bat at No. 5 in the eighth over, Pathan was dismissed on 0 (2).
