Wayne Rooney scores a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game and fans fly beer everywhere in excitement as DC United salvaged a point.

Former Manchester United man left the stadium in a fan-fest after he scored a late game penalty against Toronto FC to keep up with the MLS crown race.

Wayne Rooney‘s goal in the dying minutes of the game overwhelmed the fans after he gave a crucial point to DC United in the 1-1 draw, against the visitor.

The fans in the Audi stadium then celebrated in the craziest way possible after they flew liters of beer in the air, after the 33-year-old forward leveled the score for the hosts.

Rooney wheeled away in celebration as his team sit just a point behind top of the table Philadelphia. Currently, Rooney is enjoying a good form at DC United, as he has scored four goals in his last six games, but this goal was the most important among all.

Rooney has netted 10 times this season and continues to be vital cog in Ben Olsen’s side. The former English International earlier talked about his tenure at the MLS club, and admitted, he recently got offered managerial roles.

“There’s already offers which have been made, but at the minute I’m still a player,” he told Sky Sports.”I want to enjoy playing, then I’ll see which offers are right when I do finish.

“There’s an opportunity for me to go into management straight away, and when I do hang my boots up, that decision will be made on what the ambition of the club is, what my ambitions are and what’s right for both myself and that team.”

Rooney also revealed that his aim is to complete his coaching badges while he’s still in the USA, but still wants to focus at playing.

“It’s great for myself, who wants to go into management, to see these lads getting opportunities and it gives you hope that it will happen to you,” he explained.

With DC United vying for the MLS title, he certainly looking forward to achieve the crown, and is gradually leading towards it, while fans backing him up.
