Wayne Rooney unleashes abusive rant on assistant referee after being subbed off

Wayne Rooney unleashes abusive rant on the assistant referee after he got subbed off in a game against Vancouver Whitecaps.

Wayne Rooney showed no calm while walking towards the dugout after being subbed off in the 72nd minute of the 1-0 and was in the face of the official, repeatedly fuming, “Every f***king game” before eventually walking away.

The former English International was disappointed with the level of refereeing in recent matches, including the one happened in this game, which compelled him to shout out at the official.

The standard of refereeing wasn’t Rooney’s only issue in the MLS as after the game he took to Twitter to moan about the travel arrangements his side had to deal with ahead of the visit of New York Red Bulls in midweek.

The league primarily opted for commercial flights instead of charter plains,  making the journey and schedule much more hectic for players. Rooney, who has been successful in MLS have scored 23 goals ever since crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

However, the 33-year-old player is now about to move back to England, after he agreed an 18-month contract to join Derby County as a player-cum-coach, under new boss Phillip Cocu and is expected to earn around £100,000-a-week at Pride Park – five times the average wage in the second tier of English football.

Rooney will join the Rams in January and will start his coaching career from then as a part of a contract with the club. The former Manchester United player will be wearing the 32 number jersey due to a massive sponsorship deal with 32Red that was announced shortly after the Rooney signing was confirmed.
