The ‘Cristiano Ronaldo-Real Madrid’ relationship is under turmoil and from the looks of it, Ronaldo has filed for divorce(a move away from the Spanish capital)

Numerous reports claim that Juventus have launched a £88m bid for Ronaldo, and Real Madrid are on the path to accepting it.

Real Madrid have a new vision for the future and the ageing Ronaldo is not a part of it. He is thus being let go, as they want to reportedly secure the services of Mbappe and Neymar.

The reason for Ronaldo leaving?

Marca reports that Ronaldo had made the decision to leave Real Madrid in January itself when he felt that he wasn’t being valued by the club.

He was frustrated by how the club had behaved during his tax case and also by the low wages that he had as compared to Messi and Neymar.

Real Madrid to had made a decision to offload Ronaldo for a bid somewhere in the range of the proposed £88m by Juventus.

With the amount being a tenth of what Ronaldo’s release clause is, Ronaldo got a little more infuriated as he felt that the club didn’t value him much.

When he found out what Real Madrid were planning, Ronaldo said, “If I’m only worth €100m (£88m), it’s because they don’t love me.”(quote according to Marca).

Ever since that day, Ronaldo has begin reassessing his future and looking for alternatives from the 2019-20 season onwards.

Juventus seemed like a good enough destination because of the applause that Ronaldo had received after scoring that immaculate overhead kick during the Champions League quarter final.

Ronaldo had even hinted about a move away from Madrid right after the Champions League win in Kiev.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is set to meet Florentino Perez shortly in order to discuss Ronaldo’s future and see if there are any last minute offers from Madrid.
