Twitter reactions on Wolves defeating Arsenal 3-1.
Arsenal travelled to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the hopes of ensuring their top four finish, but they struggled to cope up with Nuno Santo’s man. With that loss, the top four spot seem to be too open, but the Gunners sit fifth having played equal games as Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
It was the visitors who started the game on a higher tempo, but they did not have anything to show for it. Set piece taker Ruben Neves scored a scorcher from thirty yards to hand over the lead to the hosts in the 28th minute. The home side total command of that goal by keeping possession and move the ball much more quickly.
Right full-back Matt Doherty is the second player to secure his name on the score sheet. A set piece helped the Irish International leap over the defenders to divert the ball into the back of the net despite Bernd Leno trying his best to get near the ball. The Gunners were all over the pitch and lost the ball in the middle of the park to hard working Diogo Jota.
Jota took full advantage by running past Sokratis and find the back of the net by beating Bernd Leno for the third time before the first half. The shot was firmly struck, but the German International was very poor in dealing with it. In the second half, Arsenal pulled one back through their defender Sokratis, but it proved to be just a consolation goal.
We shall look at the twitter reactions between Wolves and Arsenal.
