Twitter reacts as Wolves beat Manchester United at Molineux in the Premier League.
Wolverhampton Wanderers came from behind to sink Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United 2-1 at Molineux as they took yet another stride towards the Europa League Qualification. Whereas, it was a nail in the coffin for the visitors who lose to Wolves for the second time in four weeks. With this defeat, they have been dealt with a huge blow in their top four qualification. Scott McTominay’s early lead was cancelled out by Diogo Jota and an own goal from Chris Smalling.
Manchester United started off on a high note in this game and had a chance to lead the game through Romelu Lukaku in the early stages of the game. But, the Belgian International was not able to find the back of the net as Rui Patricio made an excellent save to deny the Red Devils striker.
The visitors lead the game for the first time when Fred set up his teammate Scott McTominay in the 13th minute. The Scottish man lined up one from the outside the box to get his debut goal and lead the game for the first time. Wolves had an excellent chance, but their talisman Raul Jimenez failed to strike the ball on target.
However, they got the deserved equalizer when Fred made a calamitous mistake in the middle of the park while trying to run past his opponent. Diogo Jota received a through ball to find the back of the net and equalize the score. The hosts gained confidence and had plenty of possession until the end of the first half by controlling the game.
The Red Devils started on a positive note and would have lead the game when Scott McTominay’s header was parried away by Rui Patricio to deny the midfielder for the second time. The chance of securing all three points were put in doubt when Ashley Young picked up his second yellow within five minutes. The English International was shown the red card and it became tougher for the Red Devils to bounce back from that situation.
Substitute Jonny found Raul Jimenez inside the box with a perfect cross, but the Mexican International was not able to generate power to direct it towards the goal. But, Chris Smalling diverted into his own goal when David De Gea was rushing to the spot. Wolves had plenty of chances to put the game beyond the bed, but they were not able to take those chances. Cavaleiro hit the post once while Jonny had the chance to take the shot instead of trying to square it off.
Despite squandering those chances, Nuno Santo’s side saw the game off to clinch all three points. This is their second victory in three weeks over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Wolves are just one of three sides along with Burnley and Liverpool that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has faced and failed to beat as Man Utd manager.
They become the first team to beat Man Utd twice this season. 🐺 pic.twitter.com/1mplqI3cmf

Man Utd have now conceded twice in each of their last three away games across all competitions; they hadn’t conceded more than once in any of the first nine away games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer is inept tactically. Absolutely shite.

First Moyes… then Van Gaal, Mourinho and Solskjær…
The curse of the full-time contract 😆

Solskjaer not to blame for that. Gameplan had United outfoxing Wolves and should have been out of sight until an individual error for equaliser. Then his players lacked the courage and mentality to respond to a setback.

Solskjær was abysmal at Cardiff, wins a few matches at Utd because the players wanted to prove a point to Mourinho and Utd give him a 3 year deal, Liverpool fans couldn’t have scripted it any better if they tried

Solskjaer to his players at half time: “We’re Man United!!”
“Umm, ok boss, but what do we need to change?”
“WE’RE MAN UNITED….NOW WIN”

Don’t worry. Solskjaer said they are ‘top quality’ when they are on form. https://t.co/8GHsJMGQtz

Solskjaer will be hoping United don’t draw Wolves in the Europa League next season. #WOLMUN
