Becky Lynch was not what the WWE originally had in store for Rebecca Quin while choosing a name for her. In fact, she rejected two names before settling on Becky Lynch.
Becky Lynch is currently one of the most recognised wrestlers in the world today. She along with Charlotte and Ronda Rousey, became the first women to main-event a Wrestlemania where she became the first female double champ of the new era by lifting both the RAW and SmackDown women titles at the same time.

The name Becky Lynch is entrenched in WWE history now. However, according to her, she almost had a different name in WWE. She had been pitched a couple other names that she would ultimately reject before choosing the name she now has.
Becky Lynch reveals the two names she rejected while choosing her WWE name
“When I was coming up with my name in WWE, I came up with a bunch of mad Irish names that I thought were cool,” Becky Lynch (real name Rebecca Quin) told Sports Illustrated. “Since my last name is Quin, I tried to get that in there as a first name. Quin Chulainn was one, and that was based off the mythological person from Irish mythology. Cú Chulainn is a badass character in Irish mythology.
“They wanted a name associated with my own name, like Rebecca. So I became Becky, and two of the names that came back to me were Becky Lynch and something like Madeleine.
“I was like, ‘I didn’t even submit that, I don’t know how it got in there.’ It made me think of that TV show Madeleine. Anyway, I said no to that, and the other name that came back was Robin Daly. I actually did like that, but I thought it would be better to have a part of my own name in there, so Becky Lynch it was.”
Becky Lynch recently relinquished the RAW Women’s championship to start a family with fellow WWE Star Seth Rollins. She announced her pregnancy the night after Money in the Bank and the briefcase holder, Asuka was handed the championship.
