Braun Strowman filled in for him and beat Goldberg to win the Universal Championship for the first time in his career. Soon after he found himself in a feud with former leader and mentor Bray Wyatt. Reigns, wasted no time and made an emphatic statement by victimizing both wrestlers in the title picture. He claimed that the Universal title was his and he has now received a chance to back his words. He will now face both Strowman and Wyatt in a triple threat match this Sunday at Payback.

Some fans may believe that this is a little early for Reigns to insert himself in the main event scene. However, technically he was already there when he left and is owed a match for the title he never lost.

One has to feel for Wyatt and Strowman though. It is likely that the former will lose his title just a week after losing it. Strowman on the other hand, seems to have been included just to eat the three count in order to protect Wyatt. This would mean two crushing losses in the span of a week for a man the WWE want you to think is a monster.

However, this is all just speculation at this point and there’s a good chance we’re getting ahead of ourselves. For now, we will just have to wait and see how this unfolds and where it leads to.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
