Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez lose NXT Women’s Tag Team titles on their first night as champions. They were awarded the titles earlier in the night.

William Regal followed up his promise of a groundbreaking announcement with not one two but major declarations. One, NXT’s first ever two day TakeOver next month, and the second, NXT’s own Women’s tag team titles. The Championships were awarded to Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez.

Kai and Gonzalez took on Moon and Blackheart in a rematch, this time for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. Moon, who is also a former NXT Champion, completed the double after her team prevailed to become the second ever Women’s Tag Team Champion.

While everyone congratulated the new champions, Candice LeRae and Indy Hartwell were far from pleased with the development. They were seen sulking in the background and this could very well be the feud heading to NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
