Dolph Ziggler speaks on getting an endorsement for the WWE Title by The Rock before his clash with Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules.
Dolph Ziggler has been a loyal soldier for the WWE. Despite rumours of him leaving the company every time his contract approaches its end; he has stayed put in the promotion since signing for them all the way back in 2004.

Ziggler has been rewarded for his dedication with 13 championship runs in the company, two of which were with the now defunct World Heavyweight Title. In fact, he has won almost every title the company has, except the WWE title.
However, former WWE Superstar The Rock publicly vouched for Ziggler to come out the victor against Drew McIntyre and win the title at Extreme Rules ahead of the clash.
“I’d co-sign this decision [one-hundred percent],” Rock commented on Ziggler’s picture of him with the WWE title. “Talented dude and always has a spark in his presentations.”

While Ziggler failed to prise the title from McIntyre, he did express his gratitude to The Rock for the things he wrote.
“I don’t see how it couldn’t [resonate with you],” Ziggler told Bleacher Report. “He’s the biggest star in the world, no matter what he does and no matter how you see him. The cool thing was I’ve seen him as someone who’s studying wrestling when he was wrestling and I go, ‘This guy makes moves here, he does things here, he captures everyone’s eye no matter what whenever he can.’
“He could be a famous movie star right now and say he was bad at wrestling at some point. I’d think, ‘Well, it’s cool he’s a big star and sees something in me. But, you know what, I don’t think he knows what the hell he’s talking about wrestling-wise.’ But that is not the case. He knows what it takes. He knows how to be great. He’s The Great One.”
Ziggler is scheduled to face McIntyre in a rematch where the champion will get to choose the stipulation this time. The match was originally announced as a title match. However, the WWE have changed the match to a non-title clash on their website.
