Conor McGregor WrestleMania 40

There was a time when WWE superstar versus UFC fighter was nothing but a hypothetical scenario. Now that both companies are merging thanks to Endeavor Group, the idea doesn’t seem impossible. In fact, WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler recently called out UFC icon Conor McGregor for a series of matches. And not just that, “The Showoff” proposed to end his feud against “The Notorious One” at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Conor McGregor has a reputation for being pretty blunt when it comes to his opinions about WWE. The first-ever double champion in UFC history often pokes fun at the squared circle and its superstars. However, this time, the shots were fired from the other side.

Dolph Ziggler called out Conor McGregor for a match at WrestleMania 40, a UFC fight, and a boxing match

The former WWE World Champion recently spoke to TMZ and admitted he did call out UFC icon Conor McGregor. Dolph Ziggler noted, since The Notorious has done that many times in the past, he thought he could also go a little bit.

“The Showoff” went on to propose a best-of-three series against the former 2 division UFC champion. He called out Conor McGregor for a boxing match, a UFC fight, and a WWE match. As a matter of fact, Dolph Ziggler wants to end the feud at WrestleMania. He stated:

“He’s called us out a couple of times, so I appreciate that, and I can go a little bit… Make it a best-of-three, octagon, boxing match, wrestling, fighting, WWE. Then set it all up for the [best-of-three] at WrestleMania…”

As of yet, Conor McGregor hasn’t responded to the WWE superstar but whoever has seen him in UFC, can assume a reply is on its way. Though he did get into a social media banter with Paul Heyman recently.

The Notorious One had a war of words with The Wiseman following the news of WWE’s deal with Endeavor

After the deal between WWE and Endeavor Group was made public, The Notorious made an interesting Twitter post. Conor McGregor posted a photo holding both WWE and UFC titles and wrote “It’s inevitable”. Paul Heyman responded and called him a Roman Reigns wannabe.

The former UFC champion retorted by calling The Wiseman a grandpa. He stated he will come to WWE and break his jaw in three places. Later, speaking to Ariel Helwani, Heyman replied by anointing Conor McGregor as his amusement clown.

Nevertheless, if Conor McGregor ever wants a WWE match, it seems Dolph Ziggler is more than ready. Though the way he keeps mocking wrestlers, he might have to deal with more than one the moment he steps foot into the squared circle.
