John Cena, in his short Hollywood career so far, has been a part of a few big-budget movies. Last year, The Cenation Leader gained a lot of praise for his role in DCEU’s Peacemaker. In 2021, he also starred as the main antagonist of the hit movie F9. Well, the addition of The Cenation Leader was a special thing for the cast of the blockbuster franchise. Fast and Furious 9 star Vin Diesel once shared how he felt when John Cena joined the team.

Last year, the face of the hit movie series was a special guest on “The Kelly Clarkson Show“. On the show, Vin Diesel went down memory lane and recalled John Cena joining the Fast and Furious 9 cast. He shared his first feeling seeing the WWE icon, who was about to play his brother in the movie.

Vin Diesel felt his late friend Paul Walker had sent John Cena to be a part of Fast and Furious 9

During the conversation, Vin Deisel was asked how did John Cena end up playing his brother in Fast and Furious 9. The Hollywood Star noted because of his multicultural identity, they could have decided to cast anybody as his brother.

However, despite the idea looking so good on paper, the real dilemma was who could that be. There was anxiety because fans have been following the franchise’s mythology for over two decades. Anyway, Diesel recalled building a sanctum two months before the movie.

The “Bloodshot” star stated he wanted to get into the right state of mind for the role. However, it was where Vin Diesel met John Cena as a part of The Fast Saga. After seeing the WWE icon, he claimed to have had a strange but magical feeling that Paul Walker sent him.

“He [John Cena] comes into the shrine one morning, and I had this strange feeling that Paul Walker had sent him… very magical,” he said.

The 16-time WWE champion is all set to appear in the upcoming movie of the franchise

Well, Fast and Furious 9 wasn’t the last time fans saw Vin Diesel and John Cena playing brothers. The two are all set to do some out-of-the-box action stunts in the next part as well. The movie is named “Fast X” which will hit the floors later this month on 19.
