Former WWE Superstar Terri Runnels was arrested by the Tampa International Airport Police on May 30 at 7:32 AM for “carrying a concealed firearm.”  Runnels reportedly forgot she had the gun on her when she went to the airport.  She claimed that she bought the gun to her mother’s house to deal with an armadillo that was digging up the yard and simply forgot about it.

According to TMZ, the airport security found the Glock 9 MM in a sock in her backpack. She was detained and charged with a class three felony.

Released from Jail

She was later released from Jail on a $2000 bond. Runnels posted a video on social media and clarified the situation saying it was a simple mistake. She forgot her gun was still in her handbag after only getting eight hours of sleep in three days. She also reiterated the armadillo situation at her mother’s house and thanked everyone for the calls and messages.

Terri Runnels is a former WWE Superstar where she portrayed the character of Marlena. She managed a number of superstars such as The Hardy Boys, Edge and Christian. Her most notable period in the WWE was when she managed Goldust (Dustin Runnels); who she was married to in real life from 1993 to 1999.

On May 27, 2002, she briefly held the Hardcore Championship, which was defended under the 24/7 rules, when she pinned Steven Richards. Richards immediately pinned her to win the title back. The Hardcore title would be her only championship during her career. However, that short reign made her one of only 4 women in the company to ever become the WWE Hardcore Champion.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
