Kenny Omega still hopeful for a match with AJ Styles. The two were part of the Bullet Club during their time together at New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Before signing with the WWE, AJ Styles was considered the best wrestler in the world. In recent years however, that title seems to have shifted to Kenny Omega. The two worked together in NJPW as integral members of the Bullet Club. In fact, Omega turned on Styles to take over the leadership of the group. However, the two never got to share a ring as opponents.

“Going back to things that I love that never got a sequel or a part 2 or part 3 or 4 or whatever, it never got another season. I hate feeling like it’s over and I want these things to exist in my mind, at least. I think for fans that maybe dug those stories. I never want to completely close the book on them, because maybe, who knows somewhere down the line I might have that match with AJ and I want to be able to call upon that history when the time comes.”

Styles has slowed down a bit in the last few years. However, he is still just as sharp and undoubtedly one of the best today. However, it is unlikely that the two will meet anytime soon. It is unlikely that either of the two will jump ship any time soon. Much like Omega however, that won’t stop fans from looking forward to this dream match taking place one day.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
