The Rock is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars to have ever come out of the WWE. A match with him can do wonders for a wrestler’s CV, let alone one in the main event of SummerSlam, the biggest WWE pay per view of the year after Wrestlemania.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T says he was uncomfortable working The Rock’s style

“I remember my head was tied up like a pretzel because I was working with The Rock. The Rock was one of those guys (who looked at) intricate details. He was very, very detail-oriented to where he wanted everything to be pristine, everything had to be on time. Everything had to be right.

“Me, personally, I could appreciate someone who’s got that work ethic but, for me at that time, I was not comfortable working that style. I tell people all the time, people say, ‘It was a really good match,’ but, for me, I could not think about anything but the match when I was doing it. And that’s why the memories for me is not as vivid as if I were just freelancing, per se,”

Their match took place all the way back in WWE SummerSlam 2001. Booker T walked in as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Booker T had a bit of a help from Shane McMaho. However, the Rock managed to overcome  both of them to win the WCW Championship for the first time.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
