Jerry Springer WWE Hall of Fame

Yesterday, legendary broadcast host Jerry Springer passed away at his home in suburban Chicago. The 79-year-old, who had been fighting pancreatic cancer, reportedly died after a brief illness. The British-born TV host was well known for his “The Jerry Springer Show”, in which he featured for 27 years. Wrestling fans also mourned the tragic demise of Jerry Springer and in fact, have asked WWE to induct him into the Hall of Fame.

Before becoming a talk show host, in 1977, the veteran also served as the Mayor of Cincinnati for one year. Over the years, Jerry Springer also made a few appearances on WWE TV. In 2010, he was the guest host of RAW, and then in 2014, he mediated the fierce rivalry between Brie and Nikki Bella.

A year later, he also hosted the WWE Network series “WWE Too Hot for TV”. Considering his contribution to WWE TV, fans wish to see him in the Hall of Fame.

WWE fans believe Jerry Springer deserves a Hall of Fame induction

After hearing about the unfortunate passing of Jerry Springer, WWE expressed its wishes and prayers through a Twitter post. As to the fans, they want the wrestling company to honor his death by inducting him into the Hall of Fame.

Some fans felt WWE has already inducted Jerry Springer into the Hall of Fame. And those who found otherwise immediately asked the higher-ups to do it.

One fan even wrote:

“I thought he was already in the WWE HOF! Ridiculous that he’s not.”

A fan went on to mention the veteran’s appearances on Monday Night RAW. He also noted that his work during the early 2000s went hand-in-hand with the Attitude Era. According to the fan, Springer deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Another fan felt WWE will induct Jerry Springer into the class of 2024.

Has WWE ever inducted any celebrity into the prestigious class?

Yes, the WWE Hall of Fame does have a ‘celebrity wing’ which includes people from outside. In fact, WWE has inducted many celebs who have made a mark in the ring over the years. It includes names like Mr. T (2014), Snoop Dogg (2016), Pete Rose (2004), Mike Tyson (2012), Donald Trump (2013), and many more.

Nevertheless, who gets into the prestigious class totally depends on the company’s management. It will be interesting to see if WWE listens to fans and inducts Jerry Springer into the Hall of Fame.
