WWE News and Rumors: Major Details on “Leading Contender” to Become First WWE World Heavyweight Champion
For months, there have been reports that Triple H has okayed a new world title. On this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW, the news finally came true. The Game introduced the old World Heavyweight Title but with a modern touch. The new champion was stated to be crowned at the Night of Champions pay-per-view next month. As of yet, there’s no detail about how the new title holder is going to get crowned. However, a recent report claims WWE has a potential candidate who could become the first World Heavyweight Champion.
After revealing the title, the Head of WWE Creative assured that unlike Roman Reigns, the new champion will defend the belt regularly. And according to the latest report, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion is a big fan favorite.

WWE considering Seth Rollins as the “Leading Candidate” to become the first World Heavyweight Champion
As soon as WWE introduced the title, fans started naming their pick for the first champion. As a matter of fact, two big names were highly recommended. First, Cody Rhodes, and second, Seth Rollins. Well, it seems Triple H is going to give fans what they want.
Recently, WrestleVotes via GiveMeSport shed light on the current plans WWE has for the first World Heavyweight Champion. The report stated that the management, Right Now, is considering Seth Rollins as the leading contender.
Moreover, Shinsuke Nakanura’s name has also been thrown into the mix. The report claimed the “King of Strong Style” is an outside pick to become the first WWE world heavyweight champion. WrestleVotes also told GiveMeSport that Cody Rhodes might not be considered because he is currently too involved with Roman Reigns.

Nevertheless, WWE considering Seth Rollins to become the first World Heavyweight Champion might be the right choice. Considering his popularity among fans right now, there seems nobody more deserving than him.
“The Visionary” is all set to face the “Nigerian Giant” Omos at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view
Seth Rollins has been WWE’s one of the top stars ever since he made his main roster debut. Despite being booked to lose, he has delivered some excellent matches in the last year or so. At this year’s WrestleMania, The Visionary registered a victory after a top-notch performance against Logan Paul.
Now he is all set for his next challenge which is, the “Nigerian Giant” Omos. Last week, out of nowhere, WWE announced that Seth will be facing Omos at Backlash 2023. On this week’s RAW, the two men came face to face to hype their match.
