Former WWE Superstar discusses what Brock Lesnar is like behind the scenes. Lesnar is the only person to win both a UFC championship and WWE world championship.
Brock Lesnar is one of the most succesfull combat sports athlete. The Beast Incarnate has done it all in the WWE and even has a Heavyweight Championship to show for in the UFC. He however, gets a bad rap for looking out for himself above all else.
Speaking in a Title Match Wrestling video, former WWE star Heath Slater opened up on his experiences working with Brock Lesnar behind the scenes. Slater defended Lesnar taking care of himself and even said that his personality was much more laidback than he lets on on WWE TV.
Former WWE Superstar Heath Slater discusses what Brock Lesnar is like behind the scenes
“Yeah, I think he gets a bad rap for it. But then again, he’s looking out for him. That’s just how he always has been and that’s how he always will be. You know, he looks out for himself and makes sure he’s okay, and there you go.
“But working Brock, you don’t really work Brock. He just throws you around and you’ve just gotta land safely and stuff. Oh no, he does [take care of opponents]. All those German suplexes, man, that I’ve taken, he’s landed me flat. Of course it hurts but it’s one of those things.
“Honestly, I don’t think he ever causes anything (backstage). Every time I’ve been in the mix with him, he’s like, ‘I don’t know, maybe this, maybe that.’ I’m just like, ‘Ah, s***, maybe I won’t die!’”
Lesnar and Slater were part of a WWE segment back during Slater’s free agent run. Slater’s famous catchphrase “I got kids” birthed here followed by Lesnar’s equally hilarious “I don’t give a s*** about your kids” reply.
