Injury to WWE star confirmed by commentary team on RAW

Injury to WWE star confirmed by commentary team on Monday Night RAW. The wrestler was missing from the tonight’s episode.

It is not often that one sees Xavier Woods walking out alone in the WWE. That is exactly what happened tonight though. The former Tag team champion made his way into the ring to face Retribution’s T-Bar. Only this time, there was no one on his side.

Woods has been part of the New Day since 2014. It is a common sight to see him with either Kofi Kingston, Big E or both of them. With Big E pursuing a singles run on SmackDown and Kofi absent tonight, Woods cut a forlorn figure. But why was Kofi absent? Well that much was addressed on the show tonight.

Injury to WWE star Kofi Kingston confirmed by commentary team on RAW

During Woods’ match with T-Bar, Tom Philips revealed that Kofi Kingston will be out of action for a while owing to a fractured Jaw he suffered against The Hurt Business during their match at TLC. His absence was telling as T-Bar convincingly won the match.

It is not known at the moment when Kofi will return. When he does however, he may help even the odds for Woods who faced an opponent that had his entire faction surround the ringside. More importantly though, they will want to pursue tag team glory once again having lost it last month.

The Hurt Business are currently in possession of the RAW Tag Team Championship and they will be smart to be wary of the group who have become synonymous with the division in the WWE.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
