According to the report, Vega was at the Performance Center for some sort of filming with the company. She was seen walking into the Performance Center with Simone Johnson, the daughter of former WWE Champion The Rock.

There was no confirmation if this was being done as “supplemental footage” or if there is a plan behind pairing these two women together. But “the working plan is for her to return to the company.”

According to Wrestling Inc. her WWE return was planned for a while now, before WrestleMania 37.

This report has also been backed by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

It was not added whether she will return directly to the main roster or will she head towards NXT again. They could potentially pair her up with her real life husband Aleister Black. It seems likelier though, that she will be paired with Simone Johnson, who is yet to make her NXT debut.

Zelina Vega was released by WWE on Nov. 13, 2020. The bone of contention was WWE’s crackdown on wrestlers using third-party platforms like Twitch and Cameo.
