Speaking of bumps, Drew McIntyre revealed the worst one he’s ever taken in his career so far on WWE’s The Bump. For a man who’s travelled and fought all around the world for a number of years however, the spot he spoke of was fairly recent.

Drew McIntyre opens up on the worst bump of his career

McIntyre took on Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell a few months back for the WWE Championship. The two competitors took their fight to the top of the cage before he fell off the side of the cage onto the announce table.

“It really, really, really sucked. It was easily the worst fall of my entire career,” he said of the fall. “For some reason, I thought that table was going to break my fall, but it didn’t.”

Coming back to the match against Styles, McIntyre revealed that this is a fight he has wanted for the longest time.

“I’ve wanted this match since I was 16-years-old,” he admitted. “We were like passing ships in the night – we kept missing each other. We tried to make the match back then at other independent promotions, but it never happened. When I was in NXT, he was on SmackDown. I moved to Raw, and he finally moved over to the same brand.

“Finally, the match is about to happen, and then he runs to SmackDown. I feel like, ‘Oh, AJ is ducking me; this match is never going to happen.’ Then he returns to Raw and brings with him an eight-foot-tall bodyguard. I was a little bit concerned. I don’t care if he’s at TLC. Perhaps, it gives him the advantage. I don’t care if the odds are against me; I always find a way to overcome. But this match is going to be phenomenal!”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
