WWE Money in the bank 2023 in London

Drew McIntyre’s rumored dissatisfaction with WWE is starting to substantiate. The former WWE Champion is no longer advertised for the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event (PLE) in July. While there is a lot of time for the PLE, McIntyre was previously at the front and center of the ads. WWE is flying to London for the anticipated event. The show will emanate from the O2 arena on July 1st. Suffice it to say, WWE previously advertised Drew due to the massive success of Clash at the Castle 2022.

However, Drew McIntyre’s recent activity on social media has gotten the fans thinking that the 37-year-old is not on good terms with WWE. McIntyre recently removed almost all WWE references from his Twitter. In addition, multiple sources reported that McIntyre was unhappy with his current status with WWE.

Drew McIntyre is removed from the Money in the Bank 2023 ad

Drew McIntyre is officially pulled from the Money in the Bank PLE ad. The two-time WWE Champion was one among the six superstars that were previously advertised for the Money in the Bank show on WWE.com.

But it appears that WWE has replaced him with Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief is now in the lineup alongside Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and others. This has led to the speculation that Drew McIntyre is thinking about moving over to the greener pastures, AEW.

At this point, nothing can be said for sure. If McIntyre is not advertised to be in London at Money in the Bank, it could most likely be due to his contract dispute with WWE. It’s also worth noting that McIntyre’s contract with the Stamford-based company will expire in January 2024.

Hence, a debut in AEW is highly improbable. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre is currently out of action due to an injury

The Scottish Warrior was last seen at WrestleMania competing against Gunther and Sheamus in a triple-threat match. After a very physical match, Gunther retained his Intercontinental Championship. The Wrestling Observer revealed that Drew McIntyre worked WrestleMania while being injured.

Due to his injury, McIntyre failed to make an appearance on SmackDown on 7th April. The severity of his injury is obscure at this point. This could also mean that Drew McIntyre is only removed temporarily. Watch this space for more updates.
