John Cena

There’s no denying that WrestleMania is the utopia of pro wrestling. It is the dream of every sports entertainer to be featured at WrestleMania. Even huge pop culture stars like Bad Bunny and Snoop Dogg ache to do WrestleMania segments. That said, former WWE star Brodus Clay once almost had his WrestleMania moment stolen. However, John Cena made sure that Brodus gets every bit of his WrestleMania moment.

In 2012, John Cena was gearing up to face The Rock in a “once-in-lifetime” match. The hype for the match was immeasurable. Before the match, Brodus Clay was slated to be involved in a “Funkasaurus” celebration to lighten up the mood.

But WWE was strapped for time and Clay’s segment was canceled by Vince McMahon. John Cena, who was standing alongside Clay, then did something that may have angered Vince McMahon but pleased his friend, Brodus Clay.

John Cena faked a bathroom break to make sure that Brodus Clay gets his WrestleMania moment

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE star Brodus Clay recalled getting his WrestleMania moment due to John Cena. According to Brodus, he originally had to do a match with Heath Slater, but the show was short of time.

This led Vince McMahon to scrap Brodus Clay’s segment completely. But John Cena took it upon himself to make time for Brodus. He faked a bathroom break so that Clay could go out there and live the dream.

He (Vince) was shaking his head, and I think he was talking to Michael Hayes and another one of the producers, and he was like, ‘I think we’re gonna have to we have to cut it.’

Then all of a sudden, Cena was getting ready, he’s right behind me, and he looks at me and goes, ‘I have to go to the bathroom. ‘I was like, ‘Six. I can get in six.’ He’s like, ‘Alright,’ and he just walked out of Gorilla. So now I had to go. So I went and I got my WrestleMania moment because Cena had to go to the bathroom.”

The former WWE Champion walking out of Gorrila allowed Brodus six minutes of his WrestleMania moment. This just goes to show what a selfless human being John Cena is.

The Cenation leader is admired by his fans from around the world for his compassion and kindness. Brodus Clay then explained why John Cena is one of the nicest people in the world.

Brodus Clay showers praise on John Cena for being considerate

Further, during the interview, Brodus Clay explained why nobody can bad mouth John Cena. According to him, Cena’s gesture was from the goodness of his heart.

A guy with Cena’s level of success does not have to do any favors for anybody. Clay praised John Cena for his consideration. John Cena last competed at WrestleMania 39 against Austin Theory in a losing effort.

The wrestler-turned-actor is fully involved in his Hollywood career, but does not shy away from making sporadic appearances from time to time. As for Brodus Clay, he wrestles under the ring name “Tyrus” in NWA. The 50-year-old is the NWA Worlds Champion in his first reign.

“So yeah, that’s and that’s the reason why you could never tell me nothing bad about John Cena because he was the top guy and there was no reason for him to do that other than he just felt like it was the right thing to do.”
