WWE star told Vince McMahon to trust and give her time. The WWE Chairman is notorious for changing his mind at a whim.

Vince McMahon is an enigmatic figure. The more we know about him the less we feel like we do. He is an eccentric figure who knows how to make money and is always on the look for the next big storyline or stars that can do exactly that.

During her conversation with Renee Paquette on her podcast, Shayna Baszler revealed a conversation she had with the WWE Chairman promising the same. The two spoke of how WWE stars create a scary image of Vince McMahon in their minds only to find out that he’s nothing like that.

One half of the Women’s Tag team champion, Baszler recalled how Vince McMahon asked her to redo her match with Natalya. Not happy with her own performance, she walked into Vince’s office letting him know what she thought she was capable of bringing to the women’s division and asked for his trust in return.

“I go in there. And I don’t even know what I wanted out of it. I think it was just to get it off my chest. But I was like, ‘man, listen, I know I have something that no one else has. I know I can bring a certain legitimacy to this that no other female has, I don’t know how to figure it out week to week yet, but just give me a chance.’

“I was like, ‘you’ll never have to worry about me being in shape if you want me to go out there and wrestle the same match a hundred times. I’ll do it. I’ll figure it out, just give me time. Like, I’m just letting you know I’m aware I don’t have it, just give me time. I’ll make you money.’ And he was like, ‘Can’t wait.'”

Baszler was called up to the main roster after serving two stints as Women’s Champion in NXT. She was immediately put in an angle with Becky Lynch. Baszler won an elimination chamber match to set up her encounter with Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship at Mania.

Baszler came out short but has since settled in the main roster and is comfortable in it. She is an integral component of the Women’s division today having already racked up two reigns as the tag team champion with a future that continues to look promising.

This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all.
