Real Reason why Sasha Banks was not on SmackDown last night

Real Reason why Sasha Banks was not on SmackDown last night. The Boss was missing on the Blue Brand on the recent episode.

Sasha Banks was recently crowned Sports Illustrated’s 2020 Wrestler of the year. While the WWE acknowledged the achievement, the Blue Brand’s women’s champion was nowhere to be seen on the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Carmella, the women she’s feuding with, was seen on the show and brought up Banks. The Boss however, never made an appearance on the show. The SmackDown Women’s champion surprisingly did not follow up her massive accomplishment and now we know why.

Real Reason why Sasha Banks was not on SmackDown last night

According to Ringside News, Sasha Banks was present the Tropicana Field this week. She was medically cleared to compete too. However, she was not used. According to the report, the common answer they received was ‘no creative direction.’

There is no consistency in the writing process if it doesn’t involve Roman Reigns. Unless it involves the Universal Champion, special attention is rarely given to anything. The “complete breakdown and failure of the creative process” according to report, falls on Bruce Prichard, who is “the root of many problems.”

When quizzed if the WWE had any plans for Sasha Banks heading into Royal Rumble, they were told:

“You’re going under the assumption the Rumble has been signed off on.”

SmackDown has been consistently good for the last few weeks and has come under praise from the fans. This update however, does not bode well for the show and the viewers. Hopefully, the writing will pick up and continue to excel in the coming weeks.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
