The NXT General Manager was to address the audience and announce a change in the promotion. Many assumed that this was WWE’s way of writing Regal out of the promotion and giving Joe an authority role. That almost came to be when Regal offered Joe the position, but the returning star refused and instead offered a proposal of his own.

Regal kicked off this week’s episode of NXT with his announcement. He was visibly emotional as he spoke of his time with the brand. Regal went on to say that he didn’t think he was capable of giving the fans what they deserve.

NXT Champion Karrion Kross interupted him and mocked him for crying before demanding that he admit he had lost control of the brand.

Samoa Joe then made his return to a huge pop. Regal told Joe that he was transferring his managerial duties over to him. Joe however, refused the offer. He credited Regal for all of NXT’s success and told him he couldn’t accept the job but he could make sure Regal gets the respect he deserves.

Regal offered to accept if Joe would also accept two conditions; Joe can’t be a competitor, and he can’t lay hands on any NXT Superstars, unless he’s provoked.

Joe agreed to the conditions, thereby sealing his WWE return.

This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all.
