Shane McMahon to make a return to WWE RAW tonight. The prodigal son was last seen on WWE TV all the way back in October 2019.

The WWE have announced the return of Shane McMahon for the upcoming episode of WWE RAW. There is no mention of what his purpose will be on the show. However, it will most likely have something to do with SummerSlam.

Shane McMahon set to make a return on WWE RAW tonight for the first time in 2020

The 50-year old will most likely be involved in a program leading up to the biggest party of the summer. It is also unknown if he will return as a face or a heel. The last time he was on WWE TV he was a heel feuding with Kevin Owens on SmackDown.

He was “fired” after losing a ladder match against the former Universal Champion during the SmackDown FOX debut 20th-anniversary episode on October 4, 2019.

This will be McMahon’s first WWE appearance since the end of that feud. While he was placed on the WWE alumni list after the loss to Owens, he has been used occasionally as an infrequent backstage WWE producer.

In fact, he was seen backstage during the Edge WWE 24 documentary, assisting in the production of the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble match.

It will be interesting to see who he squares off against if he does get involved in a SummerSlam program. Owens is now on RAW and does not have a storyline he is actively involved in. Another star who is currently without a rival that he could possibly face is Bobby Lashley. However, everything is up in the air at the moment and we will just have to wait and watch the program unfold.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
