Former WWE star Victoria reveals Undertaker’s reaction on his wedding day

Former WWE and Impact star Lisa Marie Varon, also known as Victoria, reveals the Undertaker’s reaction on his wedding day.

The Undertaker was one of the last wrestlers committed to keeping kayfabe in the world of internet and backstage scoops. He has since opened up on his time in the WWE after seemingly retiring from the WWE at the aftermath of this year’s Wrestlemania.

Fans now have a glimpse at Mark Calaway, the man behind the Undertaker gimmick. For former WWE star Victoria, that moment came a little earlier. On the Deadman’s wedding day to be exact. She opened up about the incident in a recent interview with WrestlingInc.

“Of course, when you’re new, you’re always on tiptoes, and you’re like, ‘Can I joke around with this legend?’ You’re working with all these legends, and I was there long enough where I can make jokes and stuff like that,” Victoria said. “I went to their wedding, him to Michelle’s [McCool] wedding. It was very small, maybe 30-40 people, and he got emotional.

“And I was like, ‘Your whole gimmick now, with The Undertaker, has crumbled in front of my eyes,’

She also revealed that wrestlers would not leave the building even after finishing the match in order to support their co-workers. She recalled joking with the Undertaker about doing the Undertaker’s Old School move.

“Back in our day, we’re not allowed to leave the building. You watch every match. Even if you already wrestled, you don’t leave. It’s disrespectful to them, people that are working hard for the main event. So, you should be supporting your co-workers.

“Right before a match, I go, ‘Hey Taker, you’re not doing the Old School spot are you, or should I take it out of my match?’ And he would go, ‘You’d probably get a bigger pop.’

“We got to know each other very well,” she continued. “He’s actually a funny guy. It’s just you’re intimidated because of this whole character, and he’s a big man. He’s a great guy. Perfect for Michelle. They make a great couple. So happy for her.”

The Undertaker will make a special appearance on this year’s Survivor Series where he will be celebrating 30 years in the WWE. It is believed that he will formally announce his retirement during the event.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
