Jon Jones talks about Brock Lesnar

It’s been around seven years since Brock Lesnar bid his goodbye to the UFC ring. After holding the title for a combined 700+ days, The Beast Incarnate left the octagon in 2016. After that, he continued his career as a part-time superstar in WWE. However, the former heavyweight champion is still a dream opponent for many big names in UFC. Recently, UFC GOAT Jon Jones expressed his desire to fight Brock Lesnar.

After a 3-year-long hiatus, “Bones” is all set for his next fight in the Octagon. At the upcoming UFC 285 main event, Jones will go one-on-one with Ciryl Gane to decide the new heavyweight champion.

During a recent interview, Bones was asked if he could fight anybody, ever, who would that be. Jone Jones immediately names WWE icon Brock Lesnar as his dream opponent.

Jon Jones says fighting Brock Lesnar would’ve been “Financially Massive”

While speaking to Sporting News Fights recently, the UFC legend opened up about his ultimate fantasy fight. According to him, fighting The Beast Incarnate would have been “really cool”. Despite not being that technical during fights, Jon Jones noted Brock Lesnar has a huge fanbase. And considering his size, the fight would have been like a “David vs. Goliath” situation.

The UFC GOAT feels Brock Lesnar versus Jon Jones would have been great cross-promoting. They could have done a lot for themselves, their families, and their team. As a matter of fact, Bones believes it would’ve been “massive” in terms of money.

Although the fight could never happen, Jon Jones didn’t rule out a possibility in the future. He even called out Brock Lesnar after saying, “Never Say Never”.

The Beast Incarnate is all set to face the “Big Ninja” Omos at WrestleMania 39

While Bones prepares himself for Ciryl Gane at UFC 285, Brock will be in action next month. Though The Beast Incarnate’s next fight is nothing compared to Jon Jones’s. In fact, WWE has booked Brock Lesnar in a very bizarre match at WrestleMania 39.

The Beast Incarnate is scheduled to square off against Omos at the Show of Shows next month. On this week’s RAW, the match was made official after a segment between MVP and Lesnar.

Nevertheless, in 2020, Dana White wanted to book a fight between Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar but the latter never responded. Considering the current scenario, the fight might never happen. But who knows, if the time/money is right, the two might square off against each other in the future.
