Kurt Angle reveals why WWE punished Cedric Alexander

Kurt Angle reveals why WWE punished Cedric Alexander for half a year. Before joining the Hurt Business, the former Cruiserweight Champion was floundering.

Cedric Alexander is one half of the RAW tag team champions with Shelton Benjamin. Together, they are a part of Hurt Business, a faction looking to take over the WWE. Things are looking up for the former cruiserweight champion and he seems to be on the path for bigger and better things in the future.

There was once a time however, when he seemed to be in a rut. His character was going nowhere, and it looked like he would end up as another talented wrestler who never reached his potential. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has now revealed that Alexander bought that fate upon himself.

Kurt Angle reveals why WWE punished Cedric Alexander

“You look at what they have been doing with Alexander, the Hurt Business. You know, he got in a little trouble last year,” Kurt Angle revealed on ‘The Kurt Angle Show. “He didn’t do something that Vince wanted him to do. And you know, if you don’t listen to your boss, things could get a little bit, you know, depressing for you, and he didn’t listen the one night, and they scolded him for a good half-year before they started using him again, and rightfully so. He should have listened.

“That is his job, it’s to listen to Vince and do what Vince tells you to do, and he didn’t do that. So, I thought, ‘Wow, this kid’s career is over,’ you know, when that happened, and Vince eventually gave him another chance.”

Cedric Alexander is too talented a wrestler to have been wasted way for a reason like that. Fortunately, Vince McMahon gave another chance to him instead of completely giving up on him.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
