WWE announce 2nd Elimination Chamber match, all 6 participants confirmed after a series of qualifying matches on SmackDown this week.
It was previously reported that the WWE was not considering any women’s Elimination Chamber match this time. The 2nd Elimination Chamber match was also going to feature talented. The report was confirmed on tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

WWE Official Adam Pearce had previously announced an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship. He intended to do the same for the Universal Championship on SmackDown. However, at Paul Heyman’s suggestion, he reluctantly changed it into a number one contender’s match with the winner getting an immediate title match on the same night!

Pearce revealed the first two participants. Jey Uso and Kevin Owens; two men Roman has feuded in the recent past, While Jey has since joined hands with the Tribal Chief, Owens is still looking to get one over Reigns.

The other four participants were set to be determined following a couple of qualifying matches. The first of them was a tag team match between Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin against Rey and Dominik Mysterio. The heels came out on top and qualified for the match.

Later in the night, Cesaro and Daniel Bryan teamed up against Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler and emerged victorious to earn the final two spots.

Surprisingly, Shinsuke Nakamura wasn’t even considered for the match.
The Elimination Chamber matches are usually pretty exhausting with the winners barely surviving by the skin of their teeth. The fact that they will then have to face a fully rested Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship almost guarantees a win for the head of the table.
