WWE announce Hell in a Cell instead of Money in the Bank as next Pay Per View

WWE announce Hell in a Cell instead of Money in the Bank as next Pay Per View. Hell In a Cell is usually reserved for the month of October.

The WWE are breaking traditions this year by shifting around their pay per view calender. Money in the Bank usually takes place in the month of June every year. This year however, it has been moved from it’s usual slot and will be replaced by another.

The WWE have announced Hell in a Cell as the next Pay Per View on their social media. This is interesting, because barring the 2018 event, all other Hell in a Cell events have taken place in the month of October. Even the 2018 event took place in September, which is a month away from October.

With Hell in a Cell scheduled for June 20 this year, it will be interesting to see what the rest of the calendar looks like and what PP V will take place on October instead. It is interesting to note that WWE owns the rights to the name Halloween Havoc.

Last year’s Hell in a Cell featured three matches inside the steel structure. Roman Reigns took on Jey Uso in an I Quit match for the Universal Championship. He beat his cousin and has forced him to do his bidding ever since.

Sasha Banks won her first WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship beating Bayley for the title. This was also her first win inside Hell in a Cell.

The Main event saw Randy Orton defeat Drew McIntyre for a short stint with the Championship.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
