WWE set up a banger with triple threat no,1 contender match for the WWE Championship next week. The qualifying matches took place tonight.
With Survivor Series out of the way, the WWE is back to its usual business. There is no brand supremacy to chase anymore. It’s all about personal glory and WWE RAW saw 6 men chase their dreams of becoming the WWE Champion.

The WWE is criticised for failing to put up a good show consistently. To call tonight’s qualifying matches a good show however, would be an understatement. All 3 matches could have very easily been pay per view matches and ended up setting up a match that is a sin to be put up for free on Live TV.
The first of the three was Sheamus vs Riddle that lasted a good 20+ minutes and showed us why the WWE hold them both in very high regard. Riddle would eventually come out on top, but with a match like that, the result hardly mattered.

The 2nd was Lashley vs Keith Lee. This was the first time the two behemoths took on each other. And if tonight is anything to go by, the fans will hope this isn’t the last time. Keith Lee would eventually emerge victorious and joined Riddle.

The last match saw AJ Styles clash with Randy Orton. Orton was made to look stronger of the two but Styles got his bodyguard Omos to help even things out. In the end, it was Bray Wyatt that helped Styles get through a former enemy and advance to next week’s qualifying match.

This means, next week on RAW, the WWE fans will be treated to match between a high flying AJ, a powerhouse Lee and an agile brawler in Riddle. The winner, will earn the right to face WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. Regardless of who wins however, the real winner will be the fans.
