AJ Styles vs Matt Riddle Intercontinental title clash result leaked. Styles and Riddle are scheduled to have a match on WWE SmackDown this week.
The Phenomenal AJ Styles has been feuding with a recently called up Matt Riddle. In fact, the King of Bros pinned the reigning Intercontinental clean in the middle of the ring on his debut. The two are set to clash for the title on SmackDown this week.

The match is yet to happen on WWE TV. However, the result of this match has already been leaked. Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that the finish of this match will see Styles beat Riddle and then join King Corbin in a beatdown of his opponent. This he reports, will set the stage for a future match between Riddle and Corbin while also keeping the door open for yet another title pursuit.
On paper, the booking does make sense. Styles is too early in his reign to drop the title to a performer who only recently made his main roster debut. Being in a story with Corbin will also allow Riddle to establish himself to the casual fans who may not know who he is but agree with each other in their contempt for Corbin.
It is unclear however, if this match will happen at the Horror Show at Extreme Rules or will this feud carry over to SummerSlam instead. I guess we will just have to wait and watch to find out.
