Money in the Bank is WWE’s one of the most popular gimmick pay-per-views. The event is special as every year, it presents one male and one female superstar with an opportunity for the world title. So far, WWE has delivered thirteen Money in the Bank PPVs and all of them have taken place in the US. However, 2023 will be different as reports claim WWE will go international this time. In fact, the next Money in the Bank is reported to take place in London.
Last year, the event was hosted by MGM Grand Garden Arena in Nevada where Liv Morgan and Austin Theory emerged victorious. However, for the last few months, there were reports that WWE might cancel its gimmick shows in the future. Well, that seems to be not true as of now.
WWE will return to London after two decades with Money in the Bank 2023
Last year on September 3, WWE held its Clash at the Castle pay-per-view from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. That was WWE’s first event in the UK since 1992. However, the event turned out to be a huge success for the company. Not only did Clash at the Castle pull more than 60,000 in attendance, but it also broke several records.
Well, it seems WWE will be cashing in on its earlier success this year as well. According to multiple sources including Fightful Select, the next Money in the Bank will be hosted in London. The event is scheduled to take place on July 1 at the 02 Arena In London.
Moreover, it will be WWE’s first pay-per-view there after more than two decades. It is also the first time in history WWE will host the said show in an international location.

Earlier reports claimed Triple H might move the popular gimmick show to its original position
When Money in the Bank started in 2005, it was a part of WWE’s WrestleMania match card. Though after 2010, it became a full-fledged pay-per-view and ever since, it has gained a lot of fan attention.
However, when Triple H took over Mr. McMahon last year, reports emerged that he will move the show back to its original place. In fact, while addressing the media after Crown Jewel 2022, The Game admitted WWE will be reaccessing its gimmick shows. As a matter of fact, fans might not see Hell in a Cell happening as a separate show under HHH.
Nevertheless, with Money in the Bank 2023 set to take place in London, it’s clear that the show is still a pay-per-view. However, it will be interesting to see who will be the winners this year. And considering the success of Clash at the Castle, it’s certain Triple H will have some mega plans for MITB 2023.
