In a shocking turn of events, the NFL suspended the football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals on January 2 after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field due to a cardiac arrest. The 24-year-old player was resuscitated once on the field. After he was rushed to a hospital, he was resuscitated once again. His condition remained critical after he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit. Thankfully, on Wednesday Night, Hamlin’s health reportedly improved as he awakened in the hospital after two days.

In the wake of the accident on the field, many sports personalities gave their take on the incident. Fox Sports pundit Skip Bayless even argued that NFL suspending the match was not a good move and that the show was supposed to go on. Unsurprisingly, he faced backlash from fans and was forced to apologize. Similarly, a former WWE superstar made a controversial statement regarding the game that has riled up the fans.
Disco Inferno offers his controversial take on Damar Hamlin’s incident
In case you didn’t know, Glen Gilbertti, better known as, Disco Inferno was a mid-card wrestler in WCW. He had a decent run in the company that lasted between 1995 to 2001. While his wrestling career was easily forgotten, Gilbertii’s shocking remarks about the football game may remain indelible.
Inferno joined Skip Bayless and offered his appalling take on Damar Hamlin’s incident. He took to Twitter to state that the Bengals and the Bills were “rewarded” after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field.
Although Inferno is not as popular as Bayless, he was still vehemently criticized by Twitter users following his cold remarks. One Twitter user even urged him to delete his Tweet.
It’s fascinating that the NFL is making concessions for the Bengals and Bills and ignoring the fact that these two teams basically got rewarded with a bye week last week 17 games in to the season, regardless of the reason.

Yup. Seeing their teammate get cpr witu a tube jammed into his throat while their QB goes on the injury report sure seems like a bye Disqo

Rewarded?!?! Are you kidding me dude? They literally watched their teammate collapse and they didn’t know for days whether he’d live or die. There’s no reward in that. Consider deleting this…
