Fox Sports expert Skip Bayless is facing backlash from the fans and several sports personalities for his controversial tweet about the postponement of the game in the wake of Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest. On Monday Night, Buffalo Bills’ match against Cincinnati Bengals was suspended after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the pitch due to a cardiac arrest.

The 24-year-old had to be resuscitated once on the field during the game. Hamlin was then rushed to a hospital soon after and according to a new report, his condition remains critical. The show did not go on as NFL postponed the game after Hamlin was carried away in an ambulance.

Following this shocking incident, Bayless made a statement that infuriated NFL fans and other NFL stars so much that some even wanted Bayless to be fired. WWE Hall of Famer took to his social media to take a dig at Bayless.

Following the incident on the field, Bayless tweeted impugning NFL’s decision to suspend the game. Although the backlash forced Bayless to apologize later, the damage was done as fans and other sports personalities flew into a rage.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry took to Twitter to express his desire to see Bayless get de-platformed. The World’s Strongest Man stated that Bayless should be taken out for 3 to 6 months.
ESPN cut to a commercial break four times during the match while Hamlin was receiving treatment on the field. After Hamlin was taken to hospital, the game was reportedly going to restart after a five-minute warm-up.

However, the idea of restarting the game caused an insurgency among the fans. Thus, the NFL authorities made the call to suspend the game. On Tuesday, Bayless tweeted to express contrition and concern for Hamlin’s critical condition.

Hamlin’s Uncle Dorrian Glenn told CNN that the NFL star was resuscitated twice, once on the field and then in the hospital the second time. On Tuesday, Bills tweeted that Damar Hamlin spent the night in the intensive care unit.
However, his condition has not shown signs of improvement yet. Hamlin’s family expressed gratitude to the medical personnel, the opposition team, and the fans for their donations.
